Question:

Whenever I do a mustahab fast, my wife offers me food to break the fast way before time like after zuhr. And I normally break the fast as she is a momina. Is it right? Wife knows that I am fasting and even then she offers me food. Sometimes it makes me think that we are playing with the system. Please guide us in this matter. Jazakallah.

Answer:

Yes it is right to accept the invitation of your wife as a Momina and break
your fast any time during the day, even after Zuhr. You will be then
getting two rewards, first of the fasting which you intended and started,
second the reward of accepting the invitation of a Momin.
This is a gift from Allah (SWT) and not playing with the system.

Question:

While wajib fasting my lips become very dry so I rotate my tongue around my lips my question is since my tongue is wet and is out of my mouth to rotate around the lips is it necessary to spit out the saliva which was in my tongue since it has come out of my mouth?

Answer:

If your tongue gets any material from the outside of your lips, you must
spit out that material and not to swallow it while fasting, but if your
tongue does not get any material from the outer side of your lips, then no
need to spit out.
