Question:

Salama alikum I want to marry as I have enough income and job, also after my repeated request my mother has finally selected a girl for me, both families have agreed but they are delaying the nikah for various reason. Like if a family person dies then you cannot marry for a year, plus if anyone elder than you is unmarried then first he/she should be married. My parents or girls parents never think that in this communication age we can be very easily tempted for Sin. I even requested my mother to get nikah done and Rukhsati can be done when ever the girls family feels prepared but every time i am compelled to hear some excuse. I am in dilemma, sometimes i think i am excessively pressing my parents, sometimes i think i am doing the right thing. I am extremely fearful that i can be tempted to a sin which could have been very easily avoided by my elders. What should i do now, i have lost all hope in persuading them because they never realize the problem i am stuck in?

Answer:

You may speak with respected person or persons who are known to your
parents to explain to your parents the harm of delaying the marriage when
it is needed and the necessity of quick action forvmarriage to save
their young son from sinful acts in today's circumstances.
If you can not find such persons who can convince your parents, then write
a detailed letter with very polite explanation to your parents .
