Salaam Syedna. I have some queries about umra that I intend to perform. What can be given as a kaffarah if required to do so? Do we pray qasr salat while on umra or tamam? If you are flying into Jeddah, I have been told we can do intention for ehram when we are flying above the meeqat(around 30mins before landing), is this ok? Many thanks Duas
Answer:
Wa Alaykum Assalam wr wb
1. Kaffara depends in the cause if it. Usually most of the Kaffara in Hajj
and Umra are a goat or sheep to be slaughtered and given to poor believers.
This can be done wherever you can, not necessarily in Makkah. You can send
the money of Kaffara to any poor place where poor believers live.
2. Namaz of a traveller is usually Qasr because you don=E2=80=99t intend to=
stay at
the same place for ten days or more. You have an option to pray full in
Masjid Nabawi of Madina and Masjid Al-Haraam in Makkah.
3. It is wrong to do Ehraam during the flight because the speed will not
make you do it exactly in the Meeqat. You need to go to the Meeqat near
Jeddah which is Johfa and start your Ehraam from there.

Answer:
It is not allowed for Muslims to deal with usury (RIBA). If this business
involves usury, you must avoid it.

Salam, I had muttah with my boyfriend. but we did not do the intercourse. Now that Muttah period is over, for how long should i observe Iddat? Am i obligated to perform iddat or not?

If there was no intercourse at all, then there is no Iddah.
