Question:

Sa. What is islamic view on engagement cermnoy, and should we spend moneyvon it or avoid it. Thank you

Answer:

Engagement does not change any situation between man and woman and they
remain non Mahram to each other until Nikah is recited. It is more a
cultural matter than religious, as in many countries they go only for Nikah
ceremony and not engagement ceremony.

Question:

My question is that once a girl gets married into the boys family, Why does she change her last name and what have our Imams said about this.

Answer:

This is a habit taken from non Muslims, while all our Imams never change
the surname of any girl after her marriage. No one from the wives of the
Prophet ( SAWA) and Ahlul Bayt (AS) changed her family name after
marriage. Every one should remain carrying his and her own family name
before and after marriage. Claiming that the wife belongs to her husband's
family is a lie, because she has in fact her own family, but the non
Muslims have this habit and some Muslims have taken it from non Muslims.

Question:

Assalamualikum. I was praying and during a ruku i lost my concentration and i dont remember what i recited in ruku other than salawat...but i think i recited what is to be recited in ruku...is my namaz void...and is only salawat enough to be recited in ruku or sujood?

Answer:

Your Salat is valid because you did not deliberately leave obligatory
recitation.
Salawat is recommended in Ruku and Sojood, but Tasbeeh is obligatory.
