Question:

Salam un alike in the Holy month of Ramazan if I go to a mall/shopping out of my city does that mean I have to break my fast ?

Answer:

If you travel for at least 30 miles away from your town or city, and start
your travel any times before Dhuhr (Zohr), you will not be allowed to fast,
because traveller is not allowed to fast.
If you start your travel after Zohr, then your fasting of that day is valid
but nest day or days of traveling has no fast if you do not intend to
remain at the same place for ten days or more.

Question:

Salam I am very confused about Qasr Salat please give me a full information of when and at which situation exactly I should shorten Salat. I went to a Masjid which is 30 km each way for from where I live its a different city. the people of Masjid told me that I must pray full perhaps someone told me he travels 60 km to the Masjid but he still perform full Salat not Qasr please help me since I am very confused. What exactly 8 Farsakh mean ?

Answer:

Every traveller who is not a frequent traveling for work < and not
traveling for sinful aim, and not staying ten days or more at the same
place, must shorten his Prayers of four units to two units. The distance of
the travel should be minimum 30 miles or 44.5 Kilometers either one way or
both going and coming if he is returning same day.
In your case, if you travel 30 Kilometers from your town or city boarder to
the Masjid and return same day, means you travel for 60 Kilometers, your
Prayer must be Qasr.
