Question:

salamwalekum after death of our parent we can fast for their qaza sawm or we give some one ujrat for this as he/she fast for our parent. recently someone told me that if we don't get any one for the same n we also not able to do so then we can pay the kaffara for each SAWM (parent) n it is enough means aftr it there is no need to qada for their SAWM is it true? if not then plz tell the right way walekumassalam

Answer:

Qaza fast for missing obligatory fasts is obligatory and no Kaffara can replace it. If you do it on behalf of your parents, it is very good, if not then you hire some one to do it.
