Question:

Salamunalaikum, 1. One person had borrowed a substantial amount of money from me and had informed that this will be invested in a business and in a particular time frame he will return my money and a certain percentage of profit. However now that time period has passed away and he had returned a very little part of the money borrowed and is shamelessly giving lame excuses and he is enjoying life lavishly... Is there any particular dua or aamal which can be performed for me to get my money back easily. 2. Is it ok to accumulate gold or silver, basically to secure our childrens future, silver in particular as it is said that towards the end of the world silver prices will be higher than gold? Please guide. JAZAKALLAH

Answer:

1. LA HAWLA WALA QOWWATA ILLA BILLAH and ASTAGHFIRULLAH RABBI WA ATOOBO
ELAYH to be repeated as many times as you can.
2. If you pay its Khums, you can save it for your children, although it is
not good to accumulate gold or silver as we read in Quran ( And those who
accumulate gold and silver, give them the news of a sever punishment, on
the Day when it will heated in the Hell fire and will burn the their
foreheads and body sides, and it will be said to them: This is what you
accumulated for your selves, then taste what you were accumulating.
You can save for your children in property or agriculture or any thing
which is beneficial to others.

Question:

As salaam un alaikum, One of our married sister has a few problems in her married life as follows: 1. He is full of male ego and does not treat his wife well. Her husband is very demanding and is very unsupportive towards his wife and 2 children who are below age 3. Even if he wants a glass of water and the wife is busy, he will nag her to get her water, this is in all the cases, once back from office he is front of the TV till he sleeps, and keeps on ordering and get irritated and taunts if there is a delay. If the children are crying very much, then he does take them, and hates if the small child spills saliva on his clothes, at night too the same scenario, yes but at times he does support her wife. 2. They have 2 children of the same gender and he forcfully planned the second one with not enough gap between the two, now he wants a 3rd child and is hinting it to her wife, who is not at all in the mental, physical and spiritual state for another one, does the female have right to deny this to her dominating husband. 3. Before marriage he said he will allow hijab to her and after that he restricted to a dupatta on head only. No scarf as well. What does the female do and what do you suggest, as hijab is wajib. But he is very dominating and treats her very very badly if she does not listen to him in any case. 4. He keeps contact with his parents and sister, but not enough. 5. He takes care of all the financial needs, but is very selfish and self centered. Is there any dua, aamal, fasting anything which can make him treat his wife, his parents and sisters the way islam does. THE GOOD THING ABOUT THIS PERSON IS, HE IS A GOOD HUMAN. AND NOT AT ALL A BAD PERSON, except for what we have stated above. Please guide. JAZAKALLAH

Answer:

The best Du'a and Amaal I can advise is repeating Estighfaar, Salawaat and
La Hawla Wala Qowwata Illa Billah Al Aliyy Al Adheem, as many times as
possible.(At least 100 times each every day or after every Salah).
It is very good to talk to him politely about these matters, so that he may
re consider. Wife also should not think that she is error-free and should
do her best to improve herself as a good wife.

Question:

salaam, what is the ruling on giving charity to non muslim charities who are helping people and providing food for the needy here in UK, sometimes they are doing more work then some muslim charities who take might take money for themselves ?? can we give our old clothes to the non muslim charity shops for them to sell or should we give to muslim people ?

Answer:

If you are sure that they make your donation reach to the poor and needy
with out any religious discrimination or religious colour, then you can
give it through them. The problem with many non Muslim organizations is the
agendas which they have according to their own thinking which does not
always go along with Islamic faith to help every human being with out any
discrimination. It is better to look for sincere Muslims who can make your
donation reach to the real needy. Keep in mind that charity starts at home,
so try to make your donation help the needy who are near to you first.

Question:

As salaam un alaikum, I had sent you a question last week and you answered it with reference : Question ID 507 - Family issues I request you to please remove my name which remains on your web site as i included it in my email. Kindly excuse me for the trouble. Keep up the good work. JAZAKALLAH

Answer:

Qadha Namaz is an obligatory Namaz and it must be performed as Qadha Namaz
only. We are not allowed to mix between to Namaz at the same time. You can
pray Namaz Shab (Night Prayer) and Qadha Namaz later on or before it but
both can not be in one Namaz.
