Question:

Assalamoalaikum. Does dandruff on the head (on skin) and on ears effects the validity of ghusl?. In case a person is in a dusty environment then sometimes dust particles also settle on the dandruff, specially in ears. Some shampoo/soap do not wash away dandruff. Although dandruff is dead skin but it comes in between water and skin. Many times after ghusl/bath I use cotton to dry ears and see that sometimes there is dandruff along with dust coming off. Is the ghusl valid in this case or it has be performed again. Wassalam

Answer:

Wa Alaykum Assalam wr wb
Dandruff does not harm Wudhu nor Ghusl.

Question:

Salam Alakium I hope you will be able to answer me on the following questions please. I am going for an internship in a non muslim country and I will be living with a non muslim person. I do not know if that person is from Ahl al kitab or not yet. But lets assume the person is an atheist. (Which is highly possible because I live in Western Europe) 1) Is am obligated to ask whether the person whom I am going to live with if he believes in God? And can I assume he is from Ahl al kitab? That person too is from Western Europe (native) 2) If there is a dishwasher and the person puts in najis utensils can I then assume it will be tahir when the dishwasher is done cleaning? 3)) If there is najasa on my clothes will my clothes be considered tahir when it comes out of the washing machine? 4) If the person I live with makes food which is najis and the smoke/damp from that food touches me will that make my clothes najis? 5) How should I deal with taahra and najasa in the kitchen if the person is an atheist? I mean I can´t wash everything the person touched. And if that person is an atheist what about when I hang clothes up which are wet and using the Iron which will be full of damp which the atheist touches? Wa salam alakium.
