Question:

Salamunalaykum agha my question is...this year me and my husband want to perform hajj and we are in taqlid of agha sistani...my husband already have taken housing loan from bank and also personal debt and repayments will be starting from next year and these repayments will be continuing for another 25 years...there isnt any fixed date for repayments..agha we are eligible for performing wajib hajj??or it has to be sunnat as we have taken loans .if we are eligible for wajib hajj then do we need to take consent from that person who has given loan to us.if i cannot perform wajib hajj can we perform wajib hajj from gifted money? As we already have done all the payments to hajj commitee of india.

Answer:

Hajj is Wajib on you and you have to perform it this year as you are able
to do so. The long term bank loan of 25 years does not obstruct you from
performing your Wajib Hajj. You do not need to seek permission of the bank.
Performing Hajj with gifted money is also Wajib if you have a gift for Hajj
in case you do not want to use your own money.

Question:

Salam agha jon! Are the nieces of ones wife... mahram or ghayr mahram? Thanks in advance! JazakAllah Khair

Answer:

Nieces of the wife are not Mahram for the man and they must wear Hijab in
front of the husband because marriage with them can take place under some
conditions or if the marriage with his present wife ends.
Only the real mother of the wife is Mahram for the husband because marriage
with her is permanently forbidden for the man.
