Question:

Assalamu Alaikum Sayyed I have 3 questions: 1.) Please is the raising of hands 3 times saying Allahu Akbar in prayer obligatory? Because I live in Egypt and I pray in the mosque always but I don't do it, I just imagine it in my mind and say Allahu Akbar 3 times silently. And also I do qablu (put my hands on my chest) can I do that in form of taqiyya? 2.) In one of your programmes on Ahlulbayt TV you said that we shouldn't eat a fish that doesn't have scales. Since that time me and my family stopped eating scaleless fish. But now we understand that most of the fish that are in the market has scale, is it totally haraam to eat fish that has scale or it's makhruh? 3.) If I join Salaah on the 2nd raka'a, what should I do? When they sit to recite the Tashahud should I as well recite it or just keep quite? 4.) In salaah, when the Imam is reciting Faatiha and Surah, should I read as well or keep mute? 5.) When in front of people (especially here in egypt) should I perform ablution and wash my leg instead of wiping? JazakAllah.

Answer:

1) saying Allah Akbar after Salah is not obligatory but only Mustahab.
Folding hands during Prayer is not allowed as it is a Bid'ah. You can do it
if you feel danger and there no way but Taqiyyah.

2) Fish with out scale in totally Haraam to eat.

> 3) when you join Salaah of Jama'ah in their second Rak'ah, you Rak'ah is
first, nandnwhen they sit for Tashahhud, you must sit raising your knees
above the floor and do not say Tashahhud, but wait or say Tasbeeh because
it is your first Rak'ah.

> 4) If the Imam of Jama'ah is a follower of Ahlul Bayt (AS) having all > conditions of leading Jama'ah, you should Not read Al Fatiha and Sura because > he is reading, but if the Imam of Jama'ah is not following Ahlul Bayt (AS), > you must recite Al Fatiha and Sura quietly for yourself.

> ablution and wash my leg instead of wiping

5) Real Wudhu has no washing on the feet , but wiping on them, and after
you have finished wiping on your feet, your Wudhu is complete, and you can
wash your feet after that butbthis wash has nothing to do with Wudhu, but
just to avoid possible harm.
