Question:

Salaam Alaikum I am 26 years old, male, and I do taqlid of Ayatullah Sistani I have a question regarding Mut'ah. I am currently unable to get married permanently due to neurological health issues which I am trying to sort out soon inshallah and don't want to commit myself to a permanent marriage just yet I would like to know if doing Mut'ah with an escort (to pay for sexual pleasure) is permissable? I have no other choice at the moment and don't want to keep sinning, for example masturbation. Due to my health condition I cannot do fasting either. If Ayatullah Sistani does not permit Mut'ah with an escort, what other options do I have? Can I change taqlid? I would be grateful for your answer as I am in great distress as I don't want to keep sinning. JazakAllah, thank you

Answer:

It is not allowed to do Mut'a with a prostitute who commits this major sin
openly and known to do it. This is according to obligatory precaution.

Question:

Salam. I have a bussiness which carrys out door to door sales for a government scheme called 'the Green deal' which basically allows customers to get free upgrades such as boiler replacements, wall and loft insulation. This free upgrade is paid for by the government through a loan. And what ever the customer saves from their energy bills goes back to pay the original loan + interest. So the customer pays back for the loan through their energy bills and unlike a typical loan which is tied to a customer this is tied to the house. So if someone decides to sell their house the loan will carry onto the next homeowner. Is my business allowed to carry out this scheme?. Thank you

Answer:

Yes it is allowed as the government is paying to reduce spending on energy and taking back what it spent from the amount saved. The extra amount (interest) can be taken as service charge. There is no RIBA involved.

Question:

What beliefs does someone have to have to be classified as a Shia? I have a sunni friend who believes Imam Ali (a.s) was most knowledgeable and qualified to be the kalifah than abu bakr.

Answer:

Shia Muslim who believes that Imam Ali (AS) is the first real successor of the Prophet (SAWA) and then the Infallible Imams after him. The faith in The Twelve Imams being the real successors of the Prophet (SAWA) is the foundation of the faith of Shia Islam. No doubt, Shia Islam is based on the belief of all the message of the Prophet Mohammad (SAWA).
