Question:

Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Rahim Assalam alaykum, I want to know whether a Momin is allowed to use loan money to perform Haj and he is sure and capable to re pay the loan. If a Momin is not having cash but owned some property and motor vehicle in that case he is to sold the property and perform Haj or have to wait to earn as much as to bear the Haj expenses. Shurkan Jazak Allah Khair Was Salam iltemase dua

Answer:

It is not obligatory to take loan for performing Hajj. Hajj will not be
obligatory on you if you do not have your own money. Loan money will not
make Hajj as obligatory on you unless the period of the repayment of the
loan is very far.
If selling your property or vehicle does not make you in hardship, then
you may sell it and get enough money for performing Hajj.
Wassalam.
